Pork here, pork there, where's the beef?

Scenario: I sent out my tax returns the beginning of March and have yet to see hide or hair of my refund. So I call the MA Department of Revenue to see where the hell my money is, especially important given that I owe money all around and have none to speak of. The D.o.R. has several automated options, none of which really addressed my concerns, so I tufted it out on hold until I got a human operator.

The problem? I ask my question, she throws me right back into the automated system! This recurs several times until I want to personally take a trip down to the D.o.R. and punch her skull in.

This is a very basic fact people, you wanna know why the local economy in MA is so screwed, take a gander at the immovable bureaucracy clogging the pipes in our plumbing; like a massive log that refuses to go down the toilet and then proceeds to back all of the water up while you're hoping you don't get s**t spilling over the bowel and unto the bathroom floor, this state's bureaucracy-that protects the employment of unessential and/or ineffective employees-overflows the deficit to the point where we're paying even MORE taxes to keep an ineffective system up and running.

Mitt Romney wants to trim the fat? Hey good luck, man! I'm all for it, but you've got to realize in very practical terms, it ain't gonna happen---EVER! There are far too many unions and special interests of various shades and sizes clogging up Beacon Hill, the bi-product of this state's overly Democrat driven bureaucractic management. It's true, you never let a Republican run the economy, but you never, ever let a Democrat run the beurocracy---EVER!

Yes, bureaucracy is the unfortunate necessity of this country, but bureaucracy does not need to be monolithic and omnipresent. It seems as though Republicans understand this just a tad more than their counterparts. Yeah, maybe everyone needs a job, but everyone should be sacked when said job is underperformed or entirely unnecessary. This is problem my biggest beef with Unions; yeah you're protecting their rights, but more often than not Union workers are good for s**t.

How does this relate to the lady on the phone at D.o. R. ? Simple, really; her job is utterly useless, on both an individual level and a corporate level. Individually, there was no survey to see what the problem is. Corporately, if every field of question can be put back into the automated system and allegedly answered, then what exactly is she doing there? In the end, her job is secure via the state bureaucracy-the bureaucracy gives her a position, and the trappings of the bureaucracy make it difficult to sack her when necessary; not as difficult if she were a Federal employee, but absurd nonetheless.

So what's the solution? Here we go: and entirely new concept in American governement begins in our state, for now on, Democrats and Republicans are only given jobs that history has proven them to be best at. Hand everything economic and financial over to the Democrats, everything corporate structure and personnel relates to the Republicans and let them tare at it. So what happens then with the state's governor? Simple, we don't let either of them have a position of leadership or final authority, instead we impose either an impartial king or benevolent dictator to assume maximum authority and keep the two sides in balance. Economy goes up, bureaucracy goes down, and the state runs profitably as well as efficiently with half the fat.

Ofcourse most people are such damn sheep, actually, no, lemmings-oooh, look at me, well, I'm a Democrat, ooh, meee, I'm a Republican, blah, blah, blah-that such a scenario (forget the king/dictator part-but keep the segregation of the two) would never happen.

You know what the worst part is? The mindless lemmings make up the voting populace, this is my ultimate conclusion. The people who could give two s**ts about liberal, conservative, left, right, blah, blah, blah, are at this point so jaded and horrified by the utter stupidity of the voting populace that the only solution is to start a new wave of ex-patriots (in the vain of T.S. Elliot, et al.) and seek refugee status in a foreign country...right now, France is the most hospitable, in case any of you are wondering.

Disgruntled but not armed,

King Joe!

PS- oh, the Sun's trying to break through the clouds...fat chance!
