4.4.4

Do you do the Niburu ?!

Subject: Coast to Coast : 4.1.4

Guest: Mark Hazelwood

Review: A subject as interesting as planet X could be deserves an equally good guest, Markel Hazelwood falls so far short of that mark (no pun intended) so as as to make rumor and innuendo of scientific investigation, which luminaries such as Richard Hoagland and Dr. James McCannie have done so well utterly boring and entirely unexciting.

Let's be honest, in a field like esoterica where cold hard facts are almost non existent and Richard Hoagland has a one man monopoly on somewhat scientific credentials, it is of utmost importance that the rumor, heresay and innuendo are extrapolated to the general public with much hype and fanfare. Not just in print, but through spoken word as well.

Mark Hazelwood, sounds half cocked and asleep talking with Noory. Perhaps it is residual effects of being a "child of the sixities" as he himself recounted, but it utterly ruins the first dynamic of any good Coast episode: intelligable, witty, and making-me-want-to-drop-a-buck banter with the host. Noory himself didn't help matters much either. The man is still harking on Booth and Green, bringing up the infamous episode all over again (and coyly referencing an email from yours truly in the process). Noory's attempt to salvage any worth while info from Mark Hazelwood is valient but in vain; unlike someone along the lines of Hoagland who can site actual specific studies, dates, resources, pictures, etc., or even Steven Quayle who has legend and folklore rimming out of his ass when he can't site any hard data, Hazelwood applies broad brushstrokes to answer most any question. More often than not Hazelwood delivers unsubstantiated musing on his part and supplies information out of thin air, seldom providing a legitmate source that can be mis-interpretated, perverted or interpolated for the purpose of furthering esoteric knowledge or milking the audience out of a buck ala` Richard C. Hoagland.

Whether he's drunk, drugged or just dumb, this episode was a disaster and an exercise in tedium. A shame really, a potentially coastie worthy subject with enough vague rumors, mongering, innuendo, and quasi-secientific evidence and anamolies working in its favor dashed to the ground and splattered by a man unworthy for KFC employee of the month!

For shame!
