A lot of people are buzzing about the new Adam Sandler film You Don't Mess with the Zohan. But what many of them don't know is that this new comedy is actually a parody of an earlier action/adventure film that starred none other than George "The Noor" Noory.

Yes, it appears that back in 1987, Noory was the star of a low-budget, direct-to-video release where he played the lead character: an esoteric researcher who retires to become a hair stylist ... only to realize that the Illuminati won't let him escape without a fight. He must use his newfound salon skills, in tandem with his esoteric knowledge, to defeat the powers-that-be once and for all.

The film, when released, received limited fanfare, but became shockingly popular as a cult classic once it was released on DVD in 2002. Somewhere along the way, Hollywood fat cats bought up the rights to the movie and cruelly turned it into a farce, mocking everything down to the title.

They also tried to cover-up the original origins of the Zohan story, by recalling all DVD copies of the Noory version, claiming that they induced vertigo.

All that remains is this one-of-a-kind cinema poster for the Noory epic (created despite the film never be shown in theaters), that was spirited away by members of the esoteric underground, working to document Noory's true impact on pop culture.
