The powers that be at VH1 have been aghast over the last few months, as the stars of their most popular show, Hogan Knows Best, have been beset by a number of family problems. Whether it's Nick Hogan's sentence of 7 months in jail for reckless driving, Brooke Hogan's internet ramblings and faltering music career, or the impending divorce of Linda and patriarch Hulk Hogan.
Not yet willing to give up on the cash cow that is the Hogan family, VH1 knew they needed to make some changes in the format of the show. For starters, out was the Hulkster. It was clear, by this point, that parenting wasn't his strong suit and he'd already announced that the Hogan family would have to take a backseat to his new "family," the American Gladiators.
Knowing that they needed someone to fill Hulk's shoes, they turned to esoteric superstar and hypedimensional enthusiast, Richard C. Hoagland. Taking a page from their other hit show Celebrity Fit Club, VH1 decided that Sir Hoags would be perfect to whip the erstwhile Hogan family into shape.
With the blessing of the Hulkster, RCH quickly moved into the pallatial Hogan mansion and set about righting what Hulk had wronged. And, of course, VH1 cameras were there, every step of the way, as Hoagie used his esoteric stylings to turn the rag-tag Hogan family back into a functioning unit.
It's Hoagland Knows Best ... coming to VH1 this Summer !
