UFOs get Political

Poor Dennis Kucinich. Not only am I one of his few supporters, last week a story came out via Shirley MacLaine, in her latest book. This is the press quote:

Kucinich "had a close sighting over my home in Graham, Washington, when I lived there," the actress, a close Kucinich friend, wrote. "Dennis found his encounter extremely moving. The smell of roses drew him out to my balcony where, when he looked up, he saw a gigantic triangular craft, silent, and observing him. "It hovered, soundless, for 10 minutes or so, and sped away with a speed he couldn't comprehend. He said he felt a connection in his heart and heard directions in his mind."

Wow! I have seen a lot of strange things in the sky, but I have never smelled roses, felt a connection in my heart, or heard directions in my mind. Honestly, the "heard directions in his mind" part is kind of too creepy for me, especially since I haven't decided that all UFO occupants are necessarily good. Then again, that is Shirley MacLaine's words and Kucinich has so far not commented on the story at all.

Then there is the press, who went somewhat wild over this story. They act as though Kucinich is the first Presidential candidate to have ever seen a UFO. Did they go wild over Regan or Carter's claims of seeing UFOs? I honestly can't remember, that was back in my very young days when I paid little attention to boring things like US and World news. Sometimes I think the press and other candidates like to pick on him just because he has a hot British wife who also has her tongue pierced. I feel like I could actually hang with Elizabeth Kucinich, she would be the coolest first lady ever! I digress.

I do wish Kucinich would just come out and say if the story is true, not true or partly true. It isn't like he has much chance of being nominated with only me and a few other freaks supporting him. Since one of the things I respect about him is his honesty, he votes like he speaks (unlike other Dem candidates), he needs to be honest about this event, even though it has come out at this unfortunate time.

Yeah, I would like for someone who is a Congressman and running for President to come out and say "Fuck you people! I saw one and it spoke to me! They are real!" Now different people would believe that or not, but it would make me feel good to hear him say it. Oh, I know the jokes that would come after that. Many of them would be drug related. So yes, even I can understand why he hasn't come out and said that.

It is kind of a catch 22, isn't it? We who think there is some truth to UFOs want someone like that to come forward, but it doesn't really help because they are just made out to be freaks, like we are.

When I say they are made out to be freaks, I mean that those in control and with power try to make them seem that way. It is highly possible that the majority of people may believe them, but they are afraid to say so, because they may be ridiculed by others as well.

I totally understand that fear. I spent a good portion of my young life trying not to be ridiculed by others. However, since I have never been a good liar that didn't really work. I have to say that it is only since I have been willing to take those blows and speak as I feel that I have actually felt normal. Certain people will pick on those who hide their true feelings and experiences because they can sense weakness. It is always better to speak and live the truth as you know it. It doesn't mean you are always right, but at least you are being truthful to the best of your ability. That is what Dennis Kucinich should do.

So I wait for his true confession of what did really take place on that day. I know he has it in him to say it, whatever it was. Don't let me down Congressman, or you may become just like all the others.

Other breaking Presidential hopeful news relating to UFOs surrounds my own Governor, Bill Richardson. His new promise is to release the real Roswell files if he is elected President, not that there is much chance of that. By the way, I do like my Governor, even though I am a Kucinich supporter, he just hasn't impressed me much in the debates.

Of course, on the Republican side we also have Rudy Giuliani's assurance that he can defend us from alien invasion.

There are so many great debate questions that could come out of those stories, but probably never will.
