It's time, once again, for our traditional visit to the paranormal North Pole as we proudly present the 9th Annual BoA:Audio Holiday Special featuring the iconic Stanton Friedman. This year's festivities include Stan's take on where the public's perception of the UFO phenomenon is today and the recent Congressional hearing on astrobiology as well as popular standards like Stan's response to the latest antics of the 'nasty, noisy negativists' and 'fossilized physicists,' who do their research by 'proclamation rather than investigation.'

In keeping with our theme of year's past, we devote the vast majority of this year's special to listener-submitted questions for the Father of Modern Day Ufology and, per usual, cover a vast array of paranormal and scientific topics, including Bigfoot, antigravity, the private space industry, crop circles, disclosure, the future of NASA, key Canadian UFO events and prominent flying saucer trace cases, drone technology, Stan's work on nuclear propulsion, MIBS, and Stan's life before he 'discovered' UFOs.

Designed to accompany you while shoveling your driveway or to offer an escape from the endless stream of holiday music that is likely assaulting your ears, it's the 9th Annual BoA:Audio Holiday Special featuring Stanton Friedman.

Full Preview: We begin the conversation by discussing Stan's recent global excursion, which saw him traveling to Iguazu Falls, Brazil and then, six days later, journeying to Tampere, Finland for separate UFO conferences. This segues into getting Stan's take on the current mood of UFO enthusiasts that he encounters around the world and the current state of interest in the UFO phenomenon. Stan talks about how both the Kepler results and the NSA revelations of 2013 have changed the public's perception of space and government secrecy, respectively. Stan then takes issue with foolish remarks made by the usual suspects of skepticism as well as misguided insights that were offered from scientists at the recent Congressional hearing on astrobiology.

Diving in to the listener questions, we being with the 'template' query which Binnall created in our call for questions and ask Stan if he's ever considered the possibility that there is a connection between UFOs and other paranormal phenomena like Bigfoot or ghosts. We then begin to listener questions, proper, with Hillbilly's inquiry which asks Stan if, since it appears UFOs can manipulate gravity, does he think they can also manipulate time or other dimensions. Stan responds by arguing against the need for antigravity and details the remarkable abilities of nuclear propulsion which were made in the 1950's and continue to be overlooked by mainstream science today. Next up, Marcus asks for Stan's opinion on the future of the private space industry and if it could eventually lead to UFO disclosure.

Following that, Sagacious wants to know whether Stan thinks crop circles are a genuine ET phenomenon or if they are all man made. Next, One2Believe questions the mathematics of the theory that the nuclear blasts that ended WWII caused ETs to notice and visit Earth to which Stan details a number of reasons, beyond that, as to why the ETs would become interested in our planet at the end of the war. After that, Randy wants to know about Stan's origin story and how he first got inspired to look into the UFO phenomenon. This leads to a follow up question from Binnall where we learn a bit more about Stan's life before he discovered UFOs and find out if he'd ever thought about the phenomenon in his youth. Next, Nancy wants to know which UFO book Stan would recommend for a die hard skeptic.

Steve then asks if Stan ever visits Nova Scotia and wants to know which Canadian UFO cases, beyond Shag Harbour, Stan finds particularly compelling and he details a pair of strange cases. Up next, Marco asks about the 1966 Portage County Case as well as the 1994 Trumbull County Case and if Stan has any new information on this legendary events. An anonymous listener then asks about the German UFO crash case investigated by Deek Richards as well as James Gilliland's Ranch where UFO allegedly fly overhead on a regular basis. Next, Kanomi asks Stan what kind of impact UFO disclosure would have on society today. Ofaebtas then presents Stan with two scenarios and asks him to choose which he prefers: NASA sending humans to Mars or developing more sophisticated satellites to explore the deeper parts of space.

Up next, RedPillJunkie asks Stan about Barney Hill's two sons from a previous marriage and if anyone has ever contacted them about the story. Following that, thornybastard requests that Stan choose one or two compelling UFO trace cases and to please detail more information about them. Ted Torbich then asks if, during Stan's work on nuclear propulsion, there was discussion about making the planes autonomous in order to cut down on nuclear shielding. This leads to some discussion on drones, in general, as well as the possibility of designing nuclear-powered drones. Mike from Jacksonville, Florida wants to know if Stan thinks there is an underground government program that has conquered anti-gravity. Bob then asks for Stan's opinion on stories which connect Rendlesham to time traveling ETs. He also responds to the various theories surrounding why aliens are here.

Veil asks Stan what the UFO research community needs to do to gain greater acceptance from the realm of mainstream science and academia. Stan shares a fascinating story from his time in California where he investigated a spate of odd UFO sightings and he shares some remarkable insights into how best to deal with UFO witnesses. Mike wonders if Stan ever had any run-ins with MIBs, either in uniform or in civilian clothes, during his time researching UFOs. This segues into some discussion on the 'virtual MIB' Phil Klass, who was a thorn in Stan's side for years and likely worked at the behest of some government agency. Wrapping up the listener questions, the final query comes from Zeno of Cittinum who asks for Stan's opinion of the current state of science education in America today and how non-Americans are embracing science instead.

Closing out the conversation, we take a moment to have Stan reflect on the passing of two titans from his research career: Marjorie Fish, of Star Map fame, and Jesse Marcel Jr., of Roswell fame. And, finally, we find out what events Stan has lined up for 2014 as well any future projects coming over the horizon.
