In another LIVE edition of the program, the incomparable Bruce Rux returns to BoA:Audio for our annual Thanksgiving tradition known simply as 'Ruxgiving.' As we did with last year's festivities, we turn much of the program over to BoA:Audio listener-submitted questions and cover a wealth of paranormal and pop culture topics. Plus, we venture beyond the two hour live program window to include an additional 20 minutes of 'Ruxgiving leftovers' which feature questions from the chatroom that we didn't have time for as well as a crazy moment involving a broken water heater.

Amongst the paranormal topics covered in this over 2 hour conversation are Bruce's MIB encounters, the moon hoax theory, ancient aliens, Zecharia Sitchin, Velikovsky, the Black Knight Satellite, and lots more. Pop cultures areas discussed include The Six Million Dollar Man, Bionic Woman, Room 223, Phantasm, Millenium, They Live, Elysium, Oblivion, Agents of Shield, and tons more.

Highlights: We begin by catching up with Bruce since his last appearance on the show and also griping about how late in November Thanksgiving has fallen this year. We then dive right into listener-submitted questions, beginning with Lawrence M.'s query about 'The Bionic Man v. Bigfoot' and Bigfoot's role in the Six Million Dollar Man / Bionic Woman mythos. Next, Joey H. asks about Bruce's MIB encounters and we spend quite a bit of time talking about that, including more details of his conversations with these people and what, specifically, they did not want to see Bruce do with his UFO research.

Following that, 'Hillbilly' wants Bruce's thoughts on mainstream science / academia covering up ancient aliens. This leads to some talk about the moon hoax theory, the film Room 223 and the theory that The Shining was Stanley Kubrick's secret confession that he helped fake the moon landing. We also talk about whether, if the moon landing was hoaxed, we'll find out the truth of that fakery as well as whether or not the private space industry could 'blow the whistle' on the impossibility of going to the moon.

Our 4th question comes from Spencer J., who asks Bruce what he thinks about the possibility that ancient aliens mastered both science on a sub-atomic level as well as on a larger, more grand celestial level. Next, Amalasuntha Splendora asks for Bruce's opinion on the Phantasm series of films. Longtime friend of BoA, our founding columnist, and the official BoA:Audio voiceover artist, Joe Vee, then poses three questions to Bruce. First, he asks how much, if any, Zecharia Sitchin's Judaism influenced his study of ancient aliens.

Joe Vee's Sitchin inquiries continue as he questions Bruce about modern esoteric researchers who claim that there are additional, coded, messages inside Sitchin's material. This leads to a lengthy discussion on Sitchin, the person, and Bruce provides a wealth of amazing first-hand accounts of what he was like during their trip to Egypt as well as later on when they corresponded. Finally, Joe Vee wants to know about the TV show Millennium. Up next, David M. wonders how Bruce went about writing his books, which leads to the annual questions about the possible re-publishing of Bruce's iconic books.

Heading towards the close of the LIVE program, Darren asks for Bruce's thoughts on the film They Live, which leads us to talk about John Carpenter and if there was an esoteric message in the film. After that, LoneGunman, the man who originally requested Bruce Rux as a guest on BoA:Audio over 5 years ago, asks Bruce for his take on the latest films, like Elysium and Oblivion, which depict the elite of Earth escaping to an off-world haven. Next, RedSonSuperman asks about Sleepy Hollow, Agents of Shield, and Lost as well as the potential for disaster when J.J. Abrams takes over the Star Wars franchise. Wrapping up the LIVE show, Jim L. wants Bruce to summarize his basic theory on ancient aliens and why he believes it.

In the post-show, Ruxgiving leftovers portion of the show, we take care of some of the questions submitted by live listeners in the chat room during the show. To that end, we cover Hillbilly's question about what Bruce thinks of Velikovsky's work, Kimberly's questions about the Black Knight Satellite and whether or not Stargates could be real. Then, RSS wonders about Gene Roddenberry's true influence in creating Star Trek and, closing out Ruxgiving for 2013, Veil wants to know Bruce's plans for Thanksgiving.

Bruce Rux Bio

Bruce Rux was an actor for twenty years, and is still current on his Actors' Equity card though he hasn't performed on stage since the early 1990s. He appeared in perhaps eighty shows, winning numerous acting awards in several states. Bruce received his BA in theater from Loretto Heights College in Denver in 1979, and an MA in Mass Communications, emphasis on playwriting, from Kansas State University in 1988. In 1980-81, he performed for a year with Wayne State University's prestigious Hilberry Classical Repertory Theater in Detroit, toward an MFA that was never completed. He won the first annual Jerome D. Johanning Playwriting Award in 1987 at K-State, for his four act historical drama, The Grave Affair, which he directed as an American College Theater Festival entry the same year. He has written several plays since. For the past ten years, he has been an upscale security officer (USO) for Wackenhut.

Bruce has studied UFOs his entire life. After the Mars Observer probe failure in August of 1993, Bruce wrote to share his findings with several researchers in the field and with a few elected representatives. As a result, he found himself invited on ancient astronaut author Zecharia Sitchin's first tour of Egypt in the Spring of 1994. During that trip, Bruce decided to write a book containing the results of his own UFO research and conclusions, which resulted in Architects of the Underworld: Unriddling Atlantis, Anomalies of Mars and the Mystery of the Sphinx in 1996. The following year, he wrote a companion volume that turned out to be even more massive, Hollywood Vs. the Aliens: The Motion Picture Industry's Participation In UFO Disinformation. Both were published by Frog Books in Berkeley, now part of Random House.
